Irish quartet Florence Road have released their latest single “Miss”, a live favourite that showcases the band’s knack for marrying heartfelt lyricism with raw, grunge-tinged energy. The track builds from a slow burn into a storm of distortion and emotion, with Lily Aron delivering one of her most impassioned vocal performances yet.

Florence Road spent their teenage years honing their sound in Aron’s garden shed in Wicklow, Ireland. Drawing as much from The Cranberries’ emotive lyricism as from the modern edge of Wolf Alice and the introspection of Phoebe Bridgers, the quartet, featuring Aron on vocals, Emma Brandon on guitar, Ailbhe Barry on bass, and Hannah Kelly on drums, have been generating serious momentum this year. With razor-sharp songwriting and an unerring melodic touch, Florence Road look every bit a band on the brink of something remarkable in 2026.

Speaking about “Miss”, the band said:

“This song is about missing someone not just in the quiet moments, but when you are in a room full of people - and wishing you could experience it together.”
