Fred Armisen and Bill Hader’s Fake Band Blue Jean Committee to Release EP and Played “Seth Meyers”
Catalina Breeze EP Due Out November 20 via Drag City, Documentary Now! Premieres Tomorrow
Aug 19, 2015 Blue Jean Committee
Fred Armisen and Bill Hader have a fake classic 1970s soft rock band, Blue Jean Committee. They will be the subject of the season finale of Armisen and Hader’s new faux documentary show on IFC, Documentary Now! But things are starting to get real. Not only did Blue Jean Committee perform the song “Catalina Breeze” on Late Night With Seth Meyers last night, they are also releasing an actual seven song Catalina Breeze EP on November 20 via Drag City. Seems like these guys should go out on tour with Heidecker & Wood, comedian Tim Heidecker’s soft rock parody band.
Check out the Seth Meyers performance below, followed by a trailer for their episode of Documentary Now! (which features Daryl Hall, Chuck Klosterman, and Hader’s amazing falsetto). Documentary Now! premieres tomorrow night on IFC and has already been renewed for two more seasons.
