Glen Hansard Announces New EP, “Drive All Night”
Out Dec. 3
Nov 06, 2013 Glen Hansard
Following the release of his solo debut Rhythm and Repose last year, singer/songwriter Glen Hansard, best known for his work with The Frames and The Swell Season, has announced that he will release a brand new EP titled Drive All Night. Scheduled to come out Dec. 3, the effort’s title takes its name from Bruce Springsteen’s classic song of the same name, featured on The Boss’ double LP The River. In additon to a cover of “Drive All Night,” featuring Pearl Jam‘s Eddie Vedder, Joe Henry and Jake Clemons (nephew of late E Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clemons), Hansard’s EP includes three original songs.
All proceeds from the digital version of Drive All Night will go on to benefit the non-profit charity Little Kids Rock, which provides music education in public schools that have faced various cuts in their music programs. Click down below to listen to “Drive All Night.”
