Gruff Rhys Announces Ambitious Multi-Platform Project “American Interior”
Book, Album, App, Film
Jan 30, 2014
Gruff Rhys
Ex-Super Furry Animal/current human Gruff Rhys has announced an ambitious undertaking. Rather than making just an album, he’s putting together an album, book, film, and app—all exploring the same concept. (Don’t worry, we’re all slackers next to him.) The project is called American Interior, and it tells the story of Rhys’ distant relative John Evans, who set out to find a Welsh-speaking tribe of Native Americans in 1792. All manner of untamed American adventures quickly followed.
The album will be released on May 5, the book will see the light of day in late May, along with the film and app, which features 100 entries relating to Evans’ story. Watch the incredible trailer for the project here.
