Telekinesis
We sent out the same set of Halloween-related questions to a bunch of different musicians. All Halloween week we are posting their responses. Here are some spooky answers from Michael Lerner of Telekinesis.
What was the best Halloween costume you ever dressed up in and/or what was the best Halloween you ever had?
I had this pretty unbelievable Where’s Waldo costume when I was in elementary school. It was so rad. I had this cool plastic camera and everything.
And the best Halloweens, well, they were all the ones I had as a kid living at my parents’ house. Our neighborhood was this big circle, and people would drive from other neighborhoods to trick-or-treat there. So, it was just insane. Tons of kids, all the houses decorated to a T. It was pretty magical as a youngster. Plus, the candy acquisitions were mental. SO MUCH CANDY.
What was the worst Halloween costume you ever dressed up in and/or what was the worst Halloween you ever had?
I honestly cannot remember a bad Halloween or costume! I was lucky in this sense.
What do you plan to dress up as for Halloween this year?
My wife and I are going to be Harry and Hermione from Harry Potter. We are attending my cousin’s wedding near Halloween, and it’s party-themed, so we are psyched about that!
What have you always wanted to dress up as for Halloween but never had the guts and/or resources to pull off?
A playable pachinko game! It would so loud, and so rad.
What’s your favorite scary movie?
Probably The Shining. I always have, and always will love that movie.
What’s your favorite spooky song?
“Monster Mash” all the way! It’s poppy spooky!
