Here’s a Mashup of Radiohead’s “Creep” and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You”
For Your Sad Christmas Parties; Mashed Up by William Maranci
Dec 09, 2019
Mariah Carey
Mashup artist William Maranci is at it again. This time he has worked his magic on the unlikely pairing of Radiohead’s “Creep” and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” and yet somehow it works. It might be a good addition to any sad Christmas party playlist. Maranci mainly uses Thom Yorke’s “Creep” vocals with the music from Carey’s song. The songs were released within two years of each other, with “Creep” in 1992 and “All I Want For Christmas Is You” released in 1994, but they couldn’t sound more different from each other stylistically. Listen to the mashup below, followed by both videos for the original songs.
Previously we posted Maranci’s mashup of Nine Inch Nails’ “Closer” with Ray Parker Jr.‘s “Ghostbusters,” which also worked surprisingly well. Maranci called his creation “Closebusters.”
Below we’ve also thrown in a recent mashup Maranci did of Tame Impala and The Smiths.
