Hooray For Earth
Hooray For Earth announced on their Twitter and Instagram accounts yesterday that last night’s show at Glasslands in Brooklyn was their last ever show. Presumably this means the band has broken up, although when reached for comment their publicist said she was still trying to find out herself if it was indeed the end for the band.
Here is the band’s tweet announcing it as their last show:
heyall - tonight’s show will be the last Hooray For Earth show ever. XO HFE

And the band’s Instagram post also saying as much:
Hooray For Earth’s excellent second album, Racy, was released back in the summer on Dovecote and has gone somewhat criminally overlooked. But we at Under the Radar showed our appreciation for it with a positive review and two-page article in our print magazine.
Fittingly Glasslands is also closing up shop at the end of the year.
If this is indeed the end for Hooray For Earth, the project was mainly the creation of frontman Noel Heroux and hopefully he’ll continue on making great music, just under a different name.
