Iggy Pop (featuring Josh Homme) Performs “Sunday” on “Kimmel,” Is Releasing Stooges Book
Post Pop Depression Out Now via Loma Vista

Eagles of Death Metal
Iggy Pop released his new album, Post Pop Depression, last month via Loma Vista. It’s produced by Josh Homme of Eagles of Death Metal and Queens of the Stone Age, who also plays on the album and co-wrote it with Pop. Last night Pop, Homme, and the Post Pop Depression band stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform “Sunday.” Pop was, of course, shirtless in a suit, while the rest of the band were clad in matching red dinner jackets. Watch below.
Post Pop Depression also features Queens of the Stone Age/Dead Weather keyboardist/guitarist Dean Fertita and Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders. Live the band is also joined by Queens of the Stone Age’s Troy Van Leeuwen (guitar) and Chavez’s Matt Sweeney (bass).
Also, as Pitchfork points out, it’s been announced that there’s a new Iggy Pop book coming out this year on Third Man Books (a subsidiary of Jack White’s Third Man Records). It’s entitled Total Chaos: The Story of The Stooges / As Told by Iggy Pop and Pop spent two days talking to writers Jeff Gold and Johan Kugelberg at his home in Miami for the 300 page book. The book will also include rare and unseen photos and contributions from White, Joan Jett, and Johnny Marr.
