Kiss Each Other Clean due January 25, 2011

Iron & Wine
Last month, we reported that Iron & Wine, the softly strumming indie-folk band helmed by multi-instrumentalist Sam Beam, had signed with Warner Bros. Records for the distribution of the band’s fourth album, Kiss Each Other Clean (4AD will be releasing it in Europe, Australia, and Japan). After several weeks of seemingly Endless Numbered Days, the release date is finally official: January 25, 2011. The tracklist has also been announced, along with some tour dates.
With its early release date and major label backer—a notable departure for the banjo-wielding Beam, who has worked solely with Sub Pop since his 2002 debut LP, The Creek Drank the Cradle—Kiss Each Other Clean is easily one of the most anticipated records of the upcoming year. Although long-time fans of Beam’s effortless lyricism and sparse yet intimate instrumentation will no doubt send in their pre-orders, cynics might be nervous about Iron & Wine’s major label move and what it could possibly do to the band’s distinct sound, if anything. We’ll all find out in late January, but for now the band has released the tracklisting for Kiss Each Other Clean, posted below.
Kiss Each Other Clean:
1. Walking Far From Home
2. Me and Lazarus
3. Tree By The River
4. Monkeys Uptown
5. Half Moon
6. Rabbit Will Run
7. Godless Brother In Love
8. Big Burned Hand
Glad Man Singing
10. Your Fake Name Is Good Enough For Me
