Iron & Wine Perform on “The Tonight Show”
Play "Flightless Bird, American Mouth"
Dec 01, 2011 Iron & Wine
While it’s a bit unfortunate that Sam Beam’s beautiful “Flightless Bird, American Mouth,” off his 2007 album Shepard’s Dog has found itself embedded in assocation with the Twlight movies’ sappy, vampire love story, there’s no denying the song is still one of Iron & Wine‘s best compositions. Set against a handful of stringed instruments, backing vocals, and plinking piano, Beam felt comfortable enough to just keep his hands in pockets, singing the song like it was one of the easiest things in the world for him to do. Check out the video below courtesy of the Audio Perv. Iron & Wine’s latest Kiss Each Other Clean is out now.
