Jack White, Marcus Mumford, Conor Oberst, and Colin Meloy to Perform “Inside Llewyn Davis” Concert

On Dec. 6, the Coen brothers will release their newest film, Inside Llewyn Davis, depicting a week in the life of a young folk singer living in Greenwich Village in the winter of 1961 as he struggles for his big break. In anticipation of the picture the Academy Award-winning directors and T-Bone Burnett, who produced the movie’s soundtrack, are putting together high-profile concert at New York City’s Town Hall on Sunday, Sept. 29.
Featuring live performances of the music included Inside Llewyn Davis, as well as songs from the Greenwich Village folk scene that inspired the film, the line-up will have appearances by Jack White, Mumford & Sons’ Marcus Mumford, Conor Oberst, The Decemberists’ Colin Meloy, The Avett Brothers, Joan Baez, Gillian Welch and Daviid Rawlings, and the film’s cast members Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, and John Goodman.
