Jack White to Guest Star on Next Week’s Season Finale of “The Muppets” and Give Kermit Love Advice
Airs Next Tuesday at 8/7 Central on ABC

ABC’s more adult, but still family friendly, revival of The Muppets has been fun, at least for thirty-something viewers who grew up on the original Muppet Show. It’s achieved a good balance between topical humor, with themes that will go over the heads of most child viewers, and the heart and soul that’s always made The Muppets such beloved characters. Next week’s episode is the first season finale (and hopefully not the series finale, although there’s been no word if it’s coming back for a second season). It’s just been announced that the special one-hour episode will guest star none other than Jack White (of The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and The Dead Weather, not that we need to tell you).
A press release describes White’s involvement in the episode as such: “After her stint in the hospital, Miss Piggy and Kermit reevaluate their relationship, and Kermit turns to Jack for help and advice.” The episode airs next Tuesday, March 1, 8/7 Central. The Dead Weather’s third album, Dodge and Burn, was released last year via White’s own Third Man Records.
Earlier in the season Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters guest starred on The Muppets. Grohl had a drum off with Animal. While not quite as epic as the classic drum off between Animal and legendary jazz drummer Buddy Rich, it was amusing to watch.
