Jenny Lewis Announces 10th Anniversary Reissue of “Rabbit Fur Coat” and Shows with The Watson Twins
January Dates to Feature M. Ward
Sep 21, 2015 Jenny Lewis
Back in January 2006 Jenny Lewis was still in Rilo Kiley when she released Rabbit Fur Coat, which was kind of her debut solo album, but also a collaboration with The Watson Twins and thus billed as an album by “Jenny Lewis with The Watson Twins.” In honor of the album’s upcoming 10th anniversary, Lewis is prepping a deluxe remastered vinyl reissue of the album. She’s also announced three shows with The Watson Twins for next January. And just as he did with a Jenny Lewis with The Watson Twins tour 10 years ago, M. Ward will be the support act. Tickets go on sale this Friday and Saturday. Check out the dates below, followed by the video for Rabbit Fur Coat track “Rise Up with Fists!!,” which was inspired by the old TV show Hee Haw and featured Sarah Silverman.
Lewis’ most recent album was 2014’s The Voyager. Read our recent interview with Lewis on the creation of the album, as well as our 2008 cover story on her.
