Jenny Lewis Announces More “Rabbit Fur Coat” 10th Anniversary Shows with The Watson Twins
September Dates
Apr 26, 2016 Nice as Fuck
Back in January 2006 Jenny Lewis was still in Rilo Kiley when she released Rabbit Fur Coat, which was kind of her debut solo album, but also a collaboration with The Watson Twins and thus billed as an album by “Jenny Lewis with The Watson Twins.” In honor of the album’s upcoming 10th anniversary, back in January Lewis released a deluxe remastered vinyl reissue of the album and did a select number of shows with The Watson Twins where they performed the album. Now Lewis has announced 10 more dates with The Watson Twins that go down this September. They are below and tickets go on sale this Friday (April 29) at 10 AM local time.
Lewis also has some solo dates, as well as some shows with Nice as Fuck, her recently announced new side band with Au Revoir Simone’s Erika Forster and The Like’s Tennessee Thomas, in which they will be opening for M. Ward. Check out all Lewis’ dates below, followed by the video for Rabbit Fur Coat track “Rise Up with Fists!!,” which was inspired by the old TV show Hee Haw and featured Sarah Silverman.
Lewis’ most recent album was 2014’s The Voyager. Read our recent interview with Lewis on the creation of the album, as well as our 2008 cover story on her.
