As reported by both Pitchfork and Billboard, My Morning Jacket’s Jim James, or rather the mysteriously similar-named musician Yim Yames, is releasing an EP of George Harrison covers. The EP, Tribute To, will be released by ATO on August 4th.
A portion of Tribute To proceeds will benefit Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary.
While there’s no news yet on new My Morning Jacket material, Jim James will next be heard in the eagerly anticipated super-group Monsters of Folk, a collaboration featuring Conor Oberst and M. Ward.
Tribute To Tracklist:
1. Long, Long, Long
2. Behind That Locked Door
3. Love You Two
4. My Sweet Lord
5. Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll)
6. All Things Must Pass
