The Voidz (the project led by the frontman of The Strokes, formerly known as Julian Casablancas and the Voidz) are releasing their new album, Virtue, tomorrow (March 30) via Cult Records/RCA. Now they have shared a video for “Pyramid of Bones.” Nicholaus Goossen directed the video, which features animation by Kidmograph. A press release describes the video as such: “The band portrays a caravan of cave-dwellers navigating a cartoon dystopia.” Watch it below, followed by the band’s upcoming tour dates.
On Tuesday The Voidz performed “QYURRYUS” on The Late Late Show with James Corden and Casablancas was interviewed by Corden. Watch the performance and interview below as well.
Previously The Voidz shared the album’s first single, “Leave It In My Dreams,” as well as a video for the strange Auto-Tune heavy “QYURRYUS” (which features the repeated lyric “I lost my spine”). They also stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform “Leave It In My Dreams” and shared another song from the album, the slow burning “Pointlessness.” “All Wordz Are Made Up” was also shared via a colorful and chaotic video directed by the band’s guitarist, who just goes by name Beardo. Then they shared the audio for “ALieNNatioN” and “Pyramid of Bones.”
Casablancas’ Strokes bandmate, guitarist Albert Hammond Jr., has also just released a new solo album, Francis Trouble, via Red Bull Records.
