Post-Oscar life has been a whirlwind for Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor, who took home the coveted golden statue, along with Atticus Rose, last February for his original score that accompanied David Fincher’s The Social Network. It was previously reported that Reznor and Rose are again joining Fincher on his latest project, the American remake of the Swedish thriller sensation The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, but it’s just confirmed that Reznor is bringing another established artist along for the ride. The indieWIRE blog The Playlist reported that Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ fearless leader Karen O collaborated with Reznor on a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song” exclusively for the film. According to The Playlist, the cover was featured in a recently released red band trailer for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, which doesn’t arrive in theaters until Dec. 21.

Although Reznor now has a film composing Oscar, Karen O is not a foreigner when it comes to being featured on movie soundtracks, either. She co-composed and wrote original tracks, under the moniker Karen O and the Kids, for Spike Jonze’s 2009 drama-fantasy film, Where the Wild Things Are.
