Kindness (aka Adam Bainbridge) is releasing a new album, Something Like War, on September 6 via Female Energy. Now Bainbridge has shared another song from it, “Raise Up.” The song features backing vocals from Vuyo Sotashe, Amanda Khiri, and Bryndon Cook. Listen below, followed by Kindness’ upcoming tour dates.
Kindness’ last album was 2014’s Otherness. Since then Bainbridge has kept busy producing and collaborating with the likes of Solange and Blood Orange. Previously he shared two songs from the album: “Cry Everything” (which is a duet with previous collaborator Robyn) and “Lost Without” (which features Swedish singer Seinabo Sey, was co-written with Kelela, and was one of our Songs of the Week). When the album was announced Kindness shared “Hard to Believe,” which features Jazmine Sullivan.
