King Krule (aka British musician Archy Marshall) released a new album, The OOZ, in October via True Panther in the U.S. (and XL in the U.K.). (It was one of our Top 100 Albums of 2017.) Now he has announced some new North American tour dates for this April and May. Check them out below, followed by the video for “Dum Surfer.”
Read our recent interview with King Krule on The OOZ.
Previously King Krule shared the jazzy “Czech One,” via its video in which he levitated off the ground and took a strange airplane flight (it was our #1 Song of the Week), and “Dum Surfer” via a video that featured Marshall and his band as zombies as they performed in a small venue (it was also our #1 Song of the Week). Then he shared a video for another song from the album, “Half Man Half Shark,” that consisted of blurry live footage captured on VHS, mixed with animation by Theo Chin. He also stopped by the BBC music show Later… with Jools Holland to perform “Dum Surfer.” And he did a Tiny Desk Concert for NPR Music.
The OOZ is the follow-up to 2013’s 6 Feet Beneath the Moon (released under the King Krule name) and 2015’s A New Place 2 Drown (a collaborative project between Marshall and his brother Jack, released simply under the name Archy Marshall).
