Full on election season is approaching with midterm elections this fall and Kurt Vile has announced that he’s hitting the campaign trail in November and December. In other words, he’s announced some tour dates in an amusing way, with endorsements from various venues across the land. He is partnering with PLUS1 to donate one dollar from every ticket sold to the ACLU. Check out the dates and tour poster below.

A press release announces the tour like this: “Kurt Vile, one of rock’s most captivating frontmen, guitarists, and songwriters, will once again be heading out on the campaign trail, with support from The Violators (Rob Laakso, Kyle Spence, and Jesse Trbovich), running on their non-partisan platform known as rock n’ roll.”

Last fall Vile teamed up with Courtney Barnett for a collaborative album, Lotta Sea Lice. Vile’s last studio album, b’lieve i’m goin down…, came out in 2015, via Matador, but perhaps he has a new one on the way? Read our interview with Vile about his last album.
