Following her 2010 self-titled debut, Vivian Girls’ Katy Goodman has announced that her side-project La Sera will release its sophomore LP on March 23. Entitled Sees the Light, the ten track record, according to the press release, is an effort in “peppy break-up pop ... Where the first La Sera album was super-dreamy in its layered vocals, Sees The Light is more direct, more aggressive; almost a soundtrack to a lost drive-in movie classic. This is not an album for half-hearted partakers in the heartache scene: just an all-consuming love for punk as pop and pop as punk.” You can can get a taste of what the album holds in store for listeners with “Please Be My Third Eye,” which you can listen to and download below.
