
Leonard Cohen’s Cause of Death Revealed in a Statement from His Manager

Legendary singer/songwriter/poet Leonard Cohen‘s death was announced last Thursday (November 10) even though he actually passed away last Monday (November 7). It had been suspected that Cohen had been sick, due to statements he had given in recent interviews about being “ready to die,” but no official cause of death was stated when his passing was announced. Now Cohen’s manager, Robert B. Kory, has released a statement to The New York Times that sheds some right on what happened. It reads: “Leonard Cohen died during his sleep following a fall in the middle of the night on Nov. 7. The death was sudden, unexpected and peaceful.” The New Yorker has also reported that Cohen was battling cancer. Only last month, on October 21st, Cohen released his latest album, his 14th, You Want It Darker, which was produced by his son Adam Cohen. Below is a selection of Cohen songs.
