Listen: 40-Second Preview of Arcade Fire’s Cover of Peter Gabriel’s “Games Without Frontiers”
Included on Gabriel Tribute Album And I’ll Scratch Yours
Jul 25, 2013
Arcade Fire
To go along with the announcement earlier today of the release of a new Peter Gabriel covers album, And I’ll Scratch Yours, Arcade Fire have shared a 40-second preview of their contribution, a cover of “Games Without Frontiers,” originally from Gabriel’s 1980 self-titled album, often referred to as Melt. It’s a faithful rendition, and hopefully indicative of what’s to come from both Arcade Fire and And I’ll Scratch Yours.
And I’ll Scratch Yours will be released September 23. Arcade Fire recently announced that their still-untitled fourth album would be released on October 29.
