Before his latest album Break It Yourself sees release on March 6, singer/songwriter Andrew Bird has released two non-album cuts on a 7’’ also entitled “Break It Yourself.” The A-side is a cover of the Alpha Consumer track “The Crown Salesman” (Alpha Consumer is made up Jeremy Ylvisaker and Michael Lewis, two longtime members from Bird’s backing band) and the B-side is a cover of The Handsome Family’s “So Much Wine.”“The Crown Salesman” is streaming over at Bird’s Facebook page and is avaiable to download in exchange for an email address. he Bowl of Fire unofficially disbanded in 2003, and Bird went on to radically re-invent himself as a solo artist. His two subsequent albums were released on Ani Difranco’s Righteous Babe Records label. 2003’s Weather Systems.
