Listen: Baroness - “Morningstar”
Purple Due Out December 18 via Abraxan Hymns
Dec 03, 2015 Baroness
Baroness are releasing their new album, Purple, on December 18 via the band’s own Abraxan Hymns label. Previously they had shared the first single from it, “Chlorine & Wine,” as well as the lyric video for “Shock Me.” Now they’ve shared another song from it, “Morningstar,” which you can stream below.
Purple is the first album since the terrible tour bus crash in England in 2012 that left nine people injured and happened only a month after the band’s last album, Yellow & Green was released. After the accident drummer Allen Blickle and bassist Matt Maggioni left the band and the current lineup features existing members, guitarists/vocalists John Baizley and Pete Adams, being joined by bassist/keyboardist Nick Jost and drummer Sebastian Thomson. Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev) produced the album.
