Jul 10, 2014 Bat For Lashes By Laura Studarus and Scott Dransfield

Now here’s a cool concept—a collection of songs by the likes of Bat For Lashes, Goldie and Ghostpoet, all featuring elements of the human body. The collection is called (appropriately enough) Body of Songs, and will be out sometime in 2015. In the meanwhile, check out Bat For Lashes’ contribution “Skin Song” below.

Since the release of 2012’s excellent The Haunted Man, Natasha Khan has kept busy. Recently, she released a clothing line for the YMC label. She also has written the screenplay and plans to direct a short film called Gotcha for Film4. Of her side projects, including the fashion and film work, Khan recently told The Guardian, “I like to get involved with more visually based art…. I’d like to be able to look back and think, ‘I made some great pieces of work.’” In the same Guardian piece, she also teases her future in music, saying a new album will arrive “in its own good time.”
