Former Lives Out Oct. 16
Oct 02, 2012
Ben Gibbard
Having already shared a number of songs from his forthcoming solo debut Former Lives Ben Gibbard has come forward this morning to deliver yet another cut from the full-length. The new track, called “Something’s Rattling (Cowpoke),” sees the Death Cab for Cutie frontman tranversing a sound somewhere a little south of the border, utilizing mariachi horns and muted string plucking, all while delivering lines like “I’m not in hiding / Just trying not to be found / So when I hear my name / I never turn around” to emphasize the escapism. Click below to listen. Former Lives arrives Oct. 16 on Barsuk. (via AV Club)
