On Aug. 14, Hear Music/Concord will release Just Tell That You Want Me: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac, a 17-track collection of covers featuring contributions from the likes of St. Vincent, Washed Out, Tame Impala, The Kills, Lykke Li, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, MGMT and many others. Put together by Randall Poster and Gelya Robb, the creative team behind last year’s high acclaimed Buddy Holly tribute record Rave On Buddy Holly, the new work will feature both familiar and obscure selections from the 45-year history. “The story of Fleetwood Mac has always intrigued me,” Poster says in a recent press release. “And we’ve tried to tell that story through the arc of music we’ve recorded. Working with some of our favorite artists and performers, the magical musical legacy of Fleetwood Mac shows itself to be alive and well.”

No stranger to the works of Stevie Nicks and the band is California’s own Best Coast. Having performed a cover of “Storms” for a Record Store Day exclusive 7’‘, Bethany Cosentino’s included take on “Rhiannon” can be heard over at NPR.
