Bill Murray has a Christmas special, A Very Murray Christmas, that’s available to stream on Netflix as of today. The project reteams him with his Lost in Translation director Sofia Coppola, who directs the special and co-wrote it with Murray and Mitch Glazer. The special features a star-studded cast, including Under the Radar favorites Jenny Lewis and Phoenix (whose Thomas Mars is married to Coppola). Previously it was announced that Phoenix and Bill Murray were teaming up to release a Christmas song, “Alone on Christmas Day.” Now you can stream the song below. It’s also been revealed that it’s a cover of a long-lost Beach Boys song from 1979 that was never formally released. Also, all proceeds from the song will benefit UNICEF.

The song is out now digitally and has also been released as a limited edition 7-inch. It also features A Very Murray Christmas cast members Jason Schwartzman, Paul Shaffer, and Buster Poindexter (aka New York Dolls’ David Johansen). The B-side is an instrumental version of the track.

The cast of A Very Murray Christmas also includes George Clooney, Amy Poehler, Julie White, Michael Cera, Chris Rock, Maya Rudolph, Frederic Moulin, Rashida Jones, and Miley Cyrus. A Very Murray Christmas is as an homage to classic variety shows. Murray plays himself as he hosts a TV show, but is worried no one will show up due to a big snow storm. Check out the latest trailer below.
