Broken Bells
On Feb. 4 The Shins’ James Mercer and Danger Mouse’s joint side-project Broken Bells will release their sophomore album After the Disco.
Yesterday the pair kindly shared the title track from the new LP. “You can dance to it,” said Danger Mouse’s Brian Burton in an interview with Rolling Stone. “But it still has the sadness, the darker melancholy thing we like to do.” The track supposedly came about from a random melody Mercer played on guitar while waiting for a car to the airport.
