Listen: Charli XCX - “London Queen”
New Album Sucker Out Dec. 16
Oct 06, 2014 Charli XCX
Recently pushing back the release of her forthcoming sophomore album Sucker, Charli XCX has shared a brand new piece of the record called “London Queen” to tide over her patient fanbase. In an interview with Rolling Stone Charli explains that the song came out of a collaboration with prodcuer Justin Raisen, who co-wrote and produced much of Sky Ferreira‘s debut album, Night Time, My Time. “[He] is one of the most amazing producers around right now, and he’s going to blow the fuck up in the next couple of years,” says Charli. “That’s something that I would never usually do, take a song that’s basically almost been written for me, but it was a song that Justin made, and I was like, fuck, this song is so good and it feels like it’s about me.”
