Alan Moore
Alan Moore, the renown writer of such popular graphic novels as Watchmen and V for Vendetta, has released an original benefit song called “The Decline of English Murder” to support the Occupy Wall Street movement and the online hacker/activist group Anonymous.
With Moore providing the lyrics and the vocals and artist Joe Brown providing the music, the song is available as a download on Occupation Records (the recently established music label of the movement). Those that buy the song on the website will have the opportunity to win a Guy Fawkes mask signed by Moore.
Tying in with Vendetta‘s signature line “Remember, remember the fifith of November,” the song itself is being released in conjunction with Anonymous’ Operation Vendetta, where over 5,000 will reenact the masked march on Parliament featured in V for Vendetta‘s film adaptation.
