Richmond, Virginia singer/producer Matthew E. White and British singer Flo Morrissey have teamed up for Gentlewoman, Ruby Man, a collaborative album of covers due out next Friday (January 13) via Glassnote. It includes covers of songs by James Blake, Frank Ocean, Leonard Cohen, The Bee Gees, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and more. Now the duo has shared their cover of The Velvet Underground‘s “Sunday Morning,” from 1967’s iconic classic The Velvet Underground & Nico. The cover speeds up the tempo for a much more upbeat take on the chilled out original. Listen to it below, followed by the album’s tracklist.
