The Cure
Frankie Rose released a sci-fi themed new album, Cage Tropical, back in August via Slumberland/Grey Market. Tomorrow she is releasing a new album in which she covers The Cure’s 1980-released album Seventeen Seconds in its entirety as part of Turntable Kitchen’s ongoing Sounds Delicious series of such albums. We already posted Rose’s cover of “A Forest.” Now here’s her take on “At Night.” Listen below.
In a press release Rose says “At Night” is “a favorite off of the original album. I tried to change as little as possible, giving it an only slightly more modern fidelity. How can you mess with the perfection of the original without destroying it? It’s my best offering.”
