We reported last month that Canadian punk/hardcore outfit Fucked Up are slowly but surely releasing four singles from their third full-length David Comes to Life before it drops June 7. The first of these singles was “The Other Shoe,” a far more melodic track than anything we’ve ever heard from these no-bullshit punk rockers. That melodic sensibility carries over into “A Little Death,” though it is a bit more urgent and pummeling than its preceding single. “A Little Death” was released today via Matador’s Matablog and can be streamed and downloaded there. According to Matablog, the next single from Fucked Up will drop April 25.

If you’re out at Coachella this weekend, or just feel like hanging out in Palm Springs with the other desert rats, then check out Fucked Up’s anti-Coachella show at the ACE Hotel tonight at midnight. The guys will both be celebrating the release of “A Little Death” and reminding everyone why Fucked Up should have been on the Coachella bill.
