The National
Last week The National revealed the tracklist and release date for for their Grateful Dead tribute compilation Day Of The Dead. Now they’ve shared five songs featuring some well-known musicians: The War On Drugs’ “Touch Of Grey,” Courtney Barnett’s “New Speedway Boogie,” Bruce Hornsby and Justin Vernon’s old band DeYarmond Edison’s “Black Muddy River,” The National’s “Morning Dew,” and Phosphorescent, Jenny Lewis and Friends cover of “Sugaree.” Through a partnership with Red Hot, proceeds from the comp will help raise awareness and money to fight HIV/AIDS and related health issues.
