Listen: Jean-Michel Jarre and M83 – “Glory”
Taken from Forthcoming Jarre LP to Also Feature Massive Attack and Tangerine Dream
May 15, 2015
Jean-Michel Jarre
“Glory” is a collaboration between two French electronic music legends, past and present: Jean-Michel Jarre (who emerged in the 1970s) and M83 (who’s been an Under the Radar favorite for the last decade). The song sounds as beautiful and soaring as you’d expect it to, coming from Jarre and M83’s Anthony Gonzalez. You can hear it below via Spotify.
The song will feature on a forthcoming, as-yet-untitled, new album from Jarre, which will also feature collaborations with Gesaffelstein (“Conquistador”), Tangerine Dream (“Zero Gravity,” recorded prior to the passing of Edgar Froese), and 3D of Massive Attack (“Watching You”). Snippets of all three songs can be found on Jarre’s Soundcloud and the full songs will be released on June 19 via very limited edition vinyl EPs (only 100 copies each via The Vinyl Factory).
