Back in April, Interpol frontman Paul Banks announced the release of a solo EP under his Julian Plenti moniker. Entitled Julian Plenti Lives… and available for purchase today, the five-track extended player is but a lead-up to a full-length album set to come out later this year. Featuring an instrumental, as well as covers of J Dilla, Frank Sinatra, and composer Harold Faltermeyer, the new EP features two original songs, including the track “Summertime is Coming.” While you can speculate whether it’s title is deliberate rib on the everpresent Game of Thrones phrase “Winter is coming,” the track itself can be downloaded below.
