Leading longtime listeners by the nose toward his forthcoming new record Old Ideas, grandfatherly songwriter Leonard Cohen has unveiled a new single entitled “Darkness.” Despite using lines like, “I don’t smoke no cigarette/I don’t drink no alcohol” the song sounds like it could only be conceived out of the dirtiest, dingiest basement bar you can think of. Old Ideas is due out Jan. 31 via Columbia.
