Listen: Lower Dens - “Maneater” (Hall & Oates Cover)
Recorded for Sirius XMU
Jun 09, 2015
Lower Dens
Lower Dens recently covered Hall & Oates’ 1982 #1 single “Maneater” (which appeared on their H2O album released the same year). Lower Dens’ version was recorded live in a session Sirius XMU. The Jana Hunter fronted band slows down the song considerably, making it a cold and alluring take on the hit. Lower Dens’ latest album, Escape From Evil, is out now via Ribbon Music. Check out the cover below, followed by the video for Hall & Oates’ original.
Back in 2009 Kevin Barnes from of Montreal interviewed Hall & Oates for us. Check out the interview with Daryl Hall here and the one with John Oates here.
