Listen: New Wye Oak Song “Glory”
First “Official Single” from Shriek, Due out April 29th on Merge

Wye Oak
Fresh off a run of well-received SXSW shows, Baltimore duo Wye Oak have released the “first official single” from their forthcoming new album, Shriek. It’s entitled “Glory” and can be streamed below.
We’re not sure what constitutes a first official single these days, as back in January the band posted the sublime Shriek cut “The Tower.” But that one was up on YouTube and this one was posted to SoundCloud, so maybe that’s what makes the difference between official and unofficial single in this post-digital world where CD singles and even 7-inch singles are in short supply. Regardless, “Glory” is further proof that Wye Oak have upped their game with Shriek, which was produced by Nicolas Vernhes of Rare Book Room in Brooklyn.
Check out the song via SoundCloud below, followed by their tour dates (which include a visit to Coachella).
