Listen: Nils Frahm - “Wall”
March 29 Declared Worldwide Piano Day
Mar 18, 2015
Nils Frahm
Berlin’s Nils Frahm has released a brand new track, “Wall.” A solo piano piece, it’s Frahm’s first new music since his 2013 album Spaces. Known for his piano-intensive tunes, Frahm has used the new tune to help announce the launch of Piano Day. Taking place March 29, Piano Day is meant to inspire people around the world appreciate the art of the piano. “Why does the world need a Piano Day?” asks Frahm in a press release. “For many reasons. But mostly, because it doesn’t hurt to celebrate the piano and everything around it: performers, composers, piano builders, tuners, movers and most important, the listener.”
