Listen: Okkervil River - “Stay Young”
Another Shared Track From The Silver Gymnasium
Aug 08, 2013
Okkervil River
For the past several weeks Okkervil River frontman Will Sheff has been providing a more personalized touch to the promotion of his band’s upcoming record The Silver Gymnasium, showing off childhood photos, playing in his old high school cafeteria, and creating an interactive map of his hometown, the setting of which served as the inspiration for the album. Yesterday Sheff went a more traditional route, sharing a simple stream of one of the LP’s included tracks “Stay Young.” Kicking off with a synthy intro, the song progresses into a catchy blast of horns, complete with saxophone and harmonica solos. Click below to listen. The Silver Gymnasium is due out Sept. 3.
