Peter Gabriel has shared a new song entitled “I’m Amazing.” It’s a song that was written several years ago and is inspired by Muhammad Ali, the iconic boxer who passed away a week and a half ago. It will be available tomorrow as a download and on streaming sites. Gabriel commented on the seven and a half minute track on his Facebook page: “I wrote a song a few years back - ‘I’m Amazing,’ which was, in part, inspired by Muhammad Ali’s life and struggles and at the time of his death, when so many people are celebrating his life and thinking about all he achieved, it seemed the right time to release it.”
Gabriel and Sting have joined forces for a previously announced collaborative tour they are dubbing the “Rock Paper Scissors” tour. Both are successful solo artists and also known for their work with highly successful bands (Gabriel being the original frontman of Genesis and Sting leading The Police). The duo promise to play the hits and to sing songs together on the tour, which starts next week.
Check out the song and tour dates below. (And read our recent interview between Gabriel and Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry.)
