Listen: Rose Elinor Dougall - “Poison Ivy”
New EP Future Vanishes Out Nov. 18
Oct 21, 2013 Rose Elinor Dougall
On Nov. 18 former Pipettes member Rose Elinor Dougall will release a brand new EP titled Future Vanishes. The first proper follow-up to the UK singer’s 2010 solo debut Without Why, Dougall has shared the effort’s included cut “Poison Ivy.”
“This song was actually written about two-and-a-half years ago, and has always felt like an important song for me,” explains Dougall in an interview with The Quietus. “It is about jealousy, possession, power, battling ones weaknesses, trying to save love from ugliness ... Also it’s a waltz which is an underrated time signature! Oli Bayston produced it, with some arrangement from Anthony Rossomando. It also features Panda from TOY on bass, and Liam Hutton on drums.” Click below to listen to the track.
