Earlier this morning KEXP debuted a remix of masked beat-maker SBTRKT‘s new single “Hold On.” What has seemingly got everyone in a fit state however, is that there’s speculation that the artist who did the rework, performing under the moniker Sisi BakBak, is actually Radiohead‘s very own frontman Thom Yorke. DJ Cheryl Waters, who premiered the track, hinted that said remixer is expected to play Seattle’s Key Arena (where Radiohead is scheduled to perform in April), and BBC’s Rob da Bank recently tweeted, “listening to the thom yorke mix of @SBTRKT for the 18th time…unbeatable!” (via Pitchfork). Yorke nor his reps have yet to confirm or deny the claim, though it’s not like Yorke has never been connected with SBTRKT before, as he contributed to Radiohead’s The King of Limbs remix LP TKOL RMX 1234567. In the meantime, SBTRKT will release his “Hold On” single digitally tomorrow, with a limited edition 12’’ on May 8, which will feature the attributed Sisi BakBak remix.
