British psychedelic pop quartet Temples released their promising debut album, Sun Structures, back in 2014 and are releasing their sophomore album, Volcano, on March 3, 2017 via Fat Possum. Previously the band shared the album’s first single, “Certainty,” as well as a video for the song. Now the band have shared a remix of “Certainty” by Scottish band Franz Ferdinand, who aren’t exactly prolific remixers. They transform the psych-pop track into a dancefloor ready jam. Frontman James Bagshaw had this to say about the remix in a press release: “When someone is remixing a song you have a certain idea of how you think it will sound, but Franz Ferdinand have really turned the track on its head, arrangement and even genre! I don’t think any of us expected such an electronic reimagined version of the song! It’s wonderful.”

Franz Ferdinand’s Alex Kapranos said: “There were so many dimensions to this song when we first heard it. We chose one and explored it until it took us out into a completely different one.”
