The Mountain Goats
The Mountain Goats have shared a brand new track from their upcoming album Beat the Champ. Titled “Heel Turn 2,” the song premiered on the most recently episode of “Welcome to Night Vale,” the popular podcast which centers itself around the strange events of its title’s fictional desert town. Skip to the 20 minute mark to listen to the track on episode 63 (“There Is No Part 1: Part 2”). “Heel Turn 2” is also available for purchase on iTunes.
Inspired by frontman John Darnielle’s childhood love of pro wrestling Beat the Champ comes out April 7 in North America, April 13 in Europe, and April 3 in Australia/New Zealand. Click below to listen to the previously shared track “The Legend of Chavo Guerrero.”
