Listen: The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - “China” (Tori Amos Cover)
Hell EP Out Now via Painbow
Nov 24, 2015 The Pains of Being Pure at Heart
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart just released a brand new EP, entitled Hell, via their own label Painbow. But that hasn’t stopped the band sharing a cover of Tori Amos’ “China,” which isn’t even featured on the EP and which frontman Kip Berman describes as a “simple home demo.” The original version was found on Amos’ 1992 album Little Earthquakes and we actually recently interviewed Amos about that album (which you can read here).
Check out the “China” cover below, followed by Amos’ original. Also read our 2014 article on The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and their last album, Days of Abandon, and our bonus 2014 Q&A with Berman.
