Listen To A Song From Jenny Lewis’ Film Score
Song One In Theaters January 23
Dec 04, 2014
Jenny Lewis
Jenny Lewis and longtime collaborator Jonathan Rice have scored the upcoming film Song One starring Anne Hathaway and Johnny Flynn. Ahead of its January 23 release, a song from the soundtrack is available to stream via Rolling Stone. It’s called “In April,” and features Flynn singing in character.
Lewis told Rolling Stone that composing the film score was the hardest thing she’s done, but admits it comes with some perk. “It’s a very prestigious thing to tell your family,” she said. “When they don’t take you as serious as an indie rocker, then you’re like, ‘Well I’m a film composer.’”
Listen to the song below. Lewis’ third solo LP The Voyager is out now.
